It's the month that Lent begins, oh my...
I'm wondering how I will get through all those Way of the Cross concerts without tearing up. I'm hoping I'm all cried out by now. Perhaps I'll be so concerned that everything comes off without a hitch and I don't forget my words that I won't be taken in by the reality and relevance of the words. I'm praying for the grace to not be a hinderance to other's full participation in the "walk".
Stations #11 and #12 are up on my YouTube channel now. When initially describing to Barry, my music arranger, how I wanted #11 (the Crucifixion) to sound, I said, "This song is a theater piece. This theater." I wanted him to think outside the box. He's always been the best at that. (You should hear some of his original Jazz pieces.) I even had the final word where to put the nail sounds. The extras that he came up with couldn't be more perfect. How do you FIND sounds like that? I'll leave the mystery up to him and the "experience" to you.
We will be uploading the last 2 videos on Ash Wednesday so you can have the complete set for a meaningful "Stations" making for Lent. I was told I'd be lynched if I waited longer as many people like to "make the stations" with the help of the internet. My computer hooks up to our TV (we don't have satellite or cable) so I can see how this could be effective, going from one video to the next. But, if you can see it live and in person, I'd highly recommend it. Again, my schedule of concerts is here: http://donnacorigibson.com/CatholicConcerts.html and CD information is here: http://donnacorigibson.com/StationsOftheCrossInSong.html
Have a blessed Lent!
